Episode 01: Dr. Aaron Fenster
The first researcher RIOT London is honoured to feature is Dr. Aaron Fenster, Professor at Western University in the Department of Medical Biophysics. In this episode, Dr. Fenster summarizes the ongoing work in his lab, with focus on ultrasound imaging for diagnosis and therapy. Dr. Fenster also discusses how an idea can transform into research inventions to improve the care of cancer patients.
Episode 02: Dr. Saman Maleki
RIOT London had the pleasure of inviting Dr. Saman Maleki on the second episode of our 3-Minute Research Seminar Series. Dr. Maleki is an Assistant Professor at Western University in the Department of Oncology, Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, and Medical Biophysics. In this episode, Dr. Maleki discusses his research on the interactions between the immune system, microorganisms in the digestive tracts (gut microbiome), and cancer. Dr. Maleki also shares his research on fecal microbiota transplant to improve immunotherapy in cancer patients.
