On Wednesday April 23, 2014 The Elgin-Middlesex Community Office of the Canadian Cancer Society presented the Research Information Outreach Team with the Ontario Division’s Celebrating Impact in Community Prevention, Outreach, Advocacy Award. The award recognizes the significant contribution to the goals and mission of the CCS in the area of prevention, outreach, and/or advocacy which has led to positive change in public awareness, behaviour or public policy.RIOT members Timothy Yeung, Michael Jensen, Saman Maleki, and Lee Jones accepted the award on behalf of the Team. To be among the many dedicated Canadian Cancer Society volunteers receiving awards at the ceremony was a great honour for the Team.
